Pictures of buildings mentioned in the “Suffolk” volume of “The Buildings of England” series by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner.  Tudor Georgian

Described by Pevsner as “One of the happiest and most picturesque seaside towns in England” (p432) this is still true nearly 50 years later.  The lighthouse (mentioned) and the beach huts, Adnams Brewery and the Pier (not mentioned in the book) are the iconic Southwold images of today as well as the street scenery examples chosen by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner.
