Rumburgh

Pictures of buildings mentioned in the second edition “Suffolk” volume of “The Buildings of England” series by Sir Nikolaus Pevsner.

The main entry for Rumburgh is for the church built not as a parish church but as the church of a small Benedictine Priory dating in its present form from the mid C13. The only other entry is for the Abbey Farmhouse of which Pevsner says "Timber-framed with detail of the late C17. It stands on the site of the refectory of the priory". Seen here as a pair:
