Apart from the church, Hitcham only has an entry for Brickhouse Farmhouse and a Romano-British settlement but there is a bracketed entry for the former Guildhall attributed to P G M Dickinson in both the first and second editions. A bracketed entry means it was not seen personally by Pevsner. All it says is "c.1500, adjoining the churchyard gate". So here it is:
